A Stupid Story - Finding the Root of Your Pain

I call this my "Stupid Story" but I think it gets the point across. The story begins at your front door. Each morning you go out the front door to get the newspaper. As you walk down the drive to get the paper, you step in a 2-foot hole and turn your ankle. You go to the doctor who wraps the ankle with an Ace bandage and gives you a prescription for some anti-inflammatory medication. The next morning you go out to get the newspaper, and you step in the 2-foot hole again...

Now we all know that there is nothing that is going to help your ankle until we fill in the 2-foot hole!

So, what is your 2-foot hole? Is it the position you stand in or sit in at work? Sleep? Weight? Posture? The way your teeth come together? Weak muscles? Too much exercise?

The challenge, then, is for you to join our team of doctors, psychologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, massage therapists, and personal trainers to find out what is causing your pain and how to treat it.

Remember, this is rehabilitation and management, not a rocking chair and narcotics!
